ABOUT

Chances are you have spotted the out-of-place Mansion on the corner of Dovercourt Road & Mackenzie Crescent.

It’s a storybook tangle of ivy-covered red brick, sculptured balconies and ornate gardens.

Built in 1888 it was the former dwelling & clinic of Canada’s second female doctor Ida Eliza Lind.

In 2015 Tanya Grossi acquired the property; local legend fashion maven, DJ. and former owner of Queen Street West watering hole Salvador Darling. Her ambitious vision was to transform the magnificent estate into an inspiring creative Hub.

Available to rent for photo shoots, music videos, films, private functions, and unique weddings.

The Darling Mansion hosts an Artist-in-residence on the third floor: the current tenant Micheline Wedderburn: Black Designers of Canada Recipient.

Previous Artist-in-residence include Evan Biddell, Fashion Week darling, and The Playsuit king.

Tanya’s eclectic collection of artifacts and a sinfully indulgent sense of interior design bring a sexy, surreal, and Daliesque dynamic to this exciting historic home.

The Canadian Web series Carmilla was filmed here.

Celebs with a certain level of street cred have also graced the manor.

BirdO a multidisciplinary Artist, known around the world for his large-scale murals of fabulous beasts, was commissioned to do two murals.

Drag race contestant Lemon, musicians Jazz Cartier, Zeds Dead, Majid Jordan, Belly, and Post Malone have used The Darling.

Oscar-winning actor Geoffery Rush hosted a private dinner during the Toronto International Film Festival TIFF.

If you are looking for a-of-a kind magical location with Victorian charm and a dash of Canadian History then book a tour with Tanya today.
